Founder & Owner, DPT

Dr. Marissa Oxenford

Dr. Marissa Oxenford is the founder and owner of Redemption Physical Therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Temple University in 2011 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2014. ​ Her athletic background continues to motivate her professional development as a physical therapist. She competed as a Division I gymnast at Temple University and later served as Head Physical Therapist for the Lincoln University Lions. Since retiring from gymnastics, she has been a competitive CrossFit athlete since 2015 and has recently added Brazilian jiu-jitsu to her pursuits. ​ She holds a CrossFit Level II Trainer certification, a specialization in the Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete, and a Dry Needling certification from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). Her continuing education has focused on advancing manual therapy techniques, expanding sports medicine expertise, and developing strength and conditioning strategies for diverse athletic populations—with a special emphasis on treating CrossFit athletes.

Fred has been in the coaching game for over 9 years now and going on his second year as a licensed physical therapist assistant. ​ Throughout his journey, he has had the privilege of working with athletes across a wide spectrum, from recreational enthusiasts to elite professionals. Together, we've tackled a diverse range of sports, including MMA, football, basketball, Olympic weightlifting, crossfit, distance running, and many more. ​ But his mission in life goes beyond just helping athletes and fitness enthusiasts excel on the field or in the gym. It's about empowering individuals like you to push past those barriers that hold you back, not only physically but mentally too. Let's break through those challenges together and pave the way for new levels of achievement!
