Frequently Asked Questions
- 01
Nope! In Florida, you can see a physical therapist directly without a physician referral for up to 30 days. After that, if you still need care, we’ll help you connect with the right provider to extend treatment if necessary.
- 02
Cash-based PT means you pay a flat fee to your therapist directly at the time of service. This model prioritizes quality, one-on-one care, and faster progress, rather than allowing insurance to dictate the number, type, or length of your visits.
Since we are a cash-based clinic, we do not contract with any insurance companies. This allows us to provide longer one-on-one sessions, customized treatment, and a plan that’s built around your goals—not what insurance dictates. Many clients use their HSA/FSA funds for services without a hitch!
- 03
Yes! We can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt with treatment codes) that you can submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement at that point is completely dependent on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.
- 04
We specialize in athletes and active individuals—whether that’s CrossFit, jiu-jitsu, running, weightlifting, or weekend warriors. Our goal is to get you back to training without pain and performing at your best.
- 05
Your first visit includes a comprehensive evaluation—looking at movement, mobility, strength, and sport-specific demands. We’ll discuss your goals, create a personalized plan, and start treatment that same day. You will leave with clarity of what the root cause is and actionable steps to initiate your plan of care.
- 06
We use a variety of evidence-based treatments including:
Corrective exercise & strength training
Manual therapy and recovery modalities (cupping, scraping, dry needling, joint mobilizations, ESTIM/TENS, Red Light Therapy)
Mobility drills and recovery techniques
Sports performance training
Each plan is customized to your needs, sport, and goals.
- 07
Most sessions are 60 minutes, one-on-one with your physical therapist. For certain services (like recovery, personal training, or seminars), session lengths may vary.
Every session is tailored to you. Depending on your needs, it may include manual therapy (dry needling, cupping, scraping, joint mobilization), corrective exercise, strength training, or recovery work. You’ll always leave with a clear plan for what to do between sessions as well.
- 08
It depends on your injury, goals, sport demands, and consistency during the plan of care. But we can say that a lot of people feel relief in just 2-4 visits, allowing us to progress to the Rebuilding phase of their plan of care, which is where the magic happens! We’ll outline your session expectations for you during your initial evaluation.
- 09
Not at all! Many clients work with us for:
Injury reduction
Mobility improvement
Sports performance
Strength & conditioning training

Think of us as your long-term partner in health and performance.

Not necessarily and most time NO! Many insurance-based clinics see patients 2–3 times per week with short, divided sessions. At Redemption PT, most clients come once a week (sometimes less) for a full 60-minute one-on-one session, which often means fewer visits and better results—saving time and money in the long run.
- 16
Because you’re investing in better, faster results. With cash-based PT, you get one-on-one care, a plan built around your goals, and the freedom to use effective treatments without insurance restrictions. Many clients find they recover quicker and need fewer visits compared to traditional in-network clinics. Your health is an investment, not an expense.
