Why We Moved to "Time-Based Programs" at Redemption Physical Therapy

Back Squat

At Redemption Physical Therapy in Tampa FL, we’ve always believed that rehab and performance shouldn’t be rushed—and they definitely shouldn’t be boxed into an arbitrary number of visits.

That belief is exactly why we’re officially moving away from traditional visit-based care and into time-based rehab programs.

This change isn’t about doing less for our clients. It’s about finally being able to do more of what actually works.

Our Problem With Visit-Based Physical Therapy

Traditional physical therapy is built around visits:

  • X number of sessions

  • Fixed timelines

  • Progress measured appointment to appointment

But real recovery, strength, and resilience don’t happen neatly inside a set number of visits.

Healing is:

  • Non-linear

  • Influenced by training load, stress, sleep, and life

  • Different for every athlete and active human

What we were seeing time and time again was this: Clients were making progress… but the system forced an artificial stop before they were truly confident, strong, and durable. Or they were falling off knowing they had more visits to save them if the issue came back - but we don't want the issue to come back!!

We knew there had to be a better way.

Why Time-Based Rehab Programs Work Better For Us

Time-based programs allow us to treat the entire process, not just the symptoms.

Instead of asking:

“How many visits do you have left?”

We now ask:

“Where are you in your recovery and performance journey—and what do you need right now?”

This model allows us to:

  • Progress at the right speed (not the insurance-driven speed)

  • Adjust training and rehab week to week

  • Blend hands-on care with structured remote programming

  • Support you outside the clinic—not just during your appointment

In short: it gives you a big picture plan, not just sessions.

How This Benefits You

Our time-based programs are designed to support active individuals who want more than short-term pain relief.

With these programs, you get:

  • Continuity of care instead of stop-and-go treatment

  • Clear structure with flexibility as your body adapts

  • Ongoing guidance even when you’re not physically in the clinic

  • A focus on long-term resilience, not just “getting by”

Whether you’re training through pain, coming back from injury, or trying to prevent the next setback, this model keeps you supported for the entire process—not just part of it. Our goal is the same; only our model has changed!

Our Programs, Simplified

We currently offer three structured time-based options depending on your needs and goals:

  • Repair Program (2 months): Ideal for addressing pain early and building a strong foundation.

  • Rebuild Program (4 months): Designed to restore strength, capacity, and confidence while you continue training.

  • Redeem Program (8 months): Our most comprehensive option for long-term injury history, performance goals, or athletes who want full support through multiple training cycles.

Each program blends hands-on physical therapy, individualized remote programming, and built-in incentives to stay consistent and invested in your progress.

Is a Time-Based Rehab Program Right for You?

Not everyone needs the same level of support—and that’s exactly why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care.

The best way to figure out what makes sense for you is to talk it through.

If you’re:

  • Training through pain

  • Stuck in a cycle of flare-ups

  • Unsure whether PT, programming, or both make sense

  • Or just want a clear plan forward

We’ll talk through your goals, your training, what’s holding you back, and whether one of our time-based programs is the right fit—no pressure, no obligation.

Your rehab deserves more than a visit count.Let’s build a plan that actually supports your life and training.

Talk to you soon,

Redemption Physical Therapy
